Tetraxim is a combined pediatric vaccine developed by Sanofi Pasteur to provide protection against four serious infectious diseases — diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis (whooping cough), and poliomyelitis (polio). This inactivated vaccine simplifies immunization by reducing the number of injections required during early childhood vaccination schedules. Each 0.5 mL prefilled syringe contains purified diphtheria and tetanus toxoids, inactivated whole-cell pertussis antigens, and inactivated poliovirus types 1, 2, and 3.
