Rabipur is a highly purified inactivated rabies vaccine manufactured using Vero cell culture technology. It is designed to provide effective immunization against rabies infection, a universally fatal viral disease transmitted through bites or scratches from rabid animals. Each 1 mL dose contains inactivated rabies virus, ensuring consistent potency and safety in both pre-exposure and post-exposure settings. Rabipur stimulates the body to produce virus-neutralizing antibodies, providing protective immunity against rabies when given according to WHO-recommended schedules. The vaccine is suitable for all age groups, including children, adults, and elderly individuals. It can be administered intramuscularly (IM) or intradermally (ID) depending on the immunization protocol and healthcare setting.
